The books have the scientific endorsement of the gynecologist specialized in assisted reproduction Xavier Saura, director of FecunMed Granollers, who has also written the introduction. It also includes a prologue by Joan Corbalán, author of Modern Families, who talks about the new family models. Finally, the books are complemented with additional explanations to guide families when dealing with this topic, partly in a practical format of frequently asked questions, with the advice of Roger Ballescà, child and youth specialist psychologist and vice-secretary of the Col· Official Legi of Psychology of Catalonia.
These stories are intended to answer the questions that these boys and girls may ask themselves, and to do so in an understandable way, without prejudice or paternalism and, above all, trying to break stereotypes that can affect their self-esteem.
But, it is not an exclusive book for this community: everyone can learn from this reality, increasingly present in our environment and booming, so that there are no judgments or prejudices. The main audience for these stories are families that have gone through assisted reproduction, but also all families or educators who want to introduce children to non-traditional family models.
